Reducing Information Asymmetry to Improve Stock Availability

In early December, Arun presented a paper at the Association for Computing Machinery – Development (ACM DEV) 2014 conference in San Jose, California. It was later published in the conference proceedings: http://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?doid=2674377.2674382

The insights shared are mostly drawn from Logistimo’s experience evolving the web service for low-resource settings over the past several years. The paper specifically showcases an impact study done in Karnataka’s public health system.

Thanks to Dr. H. Sudarshan and his team at Karuna Trust for catalyzing the program within their PHCs. Gratitude to Dr. Prashant Yadav & Gaurav Singhal (William Davidson Institute, University of Michigan) and our own Vinayak Kothurwar for providing intellectual support and lots of data analysis. None of this was possible if not for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for funding the work.
